Phillips County Health Systems Welcomes Accomplished Physical Therapist

Cassie Taylor

Phillips County Health Systems (PCHS) Rehabilitation Department is excited to welcome the newest addition to our team of dedicated rehabilitation experts. TJ Jonsson, an accomplished and knowledgeable physical therapist, joins our ranks to reinforce our commitment to delivering exceptional rehabilitation services with a strong focus on patient-centered excellence.

TJ exhibits a passion for improving the lives of patients and a wealth of experience in the field. He brings quality and skill to our already highly-regarded Rehab team. TJ holds an impressive track record of successfully treating patients across diverse age groups and various physical conditions. Having obtained his degree in Physical Therapy from Uppsala University in Sweden in 1994, TJ embarked on his journey in 1995 upon relocating to the United States. His professional path has been marked by contributions in critical access hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health settings. Over an illustrious career spanning 29 years, TJ has held roles ranging from a Staff Therapist to the Director of Rehab, to a Clinic Practice Therapist Specialist, and the State Director of a distinguished rehabilitation company.

“I have always been passionate about patient care and I felt that calling once again,” stated TJ Jonsson, Physical Therapist. “After my years away from hands-on patient care working in management roles, I decided to pursue my passion for personally helping people again at PCHS.”

TJ joins our Rehab team from Lincoln, KS, where he resides with his wife Sheri. Together, they enjoy outdoor adventures and visiting their two sons—one residing in Colorado and the other a college student at Kansas State University. TJ’s creative spirit shines with a skill for crafting and repurposing. Notably, TJ has been a devoted Firefighter/Rescue Volunteer for a decade. Now, his extensive experience and unwavering dedication have found a new purpose within our PCHS team and community.

PCHS is dedicated to providing compassionate and innovative medical care. Our team of highly skilled healthcare professionals is committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences and advancing the health and well-being of the community we proudly serve. The addition of TJ Jonsson strengthens our mission of bringing quality healthcare services to our rural community through the caliber of our staff, further enhancing our commitment to Patient-Centered Excellence.
