Welcome Kristen Jones, DNP-C

Phillips County Health Systems (PCHS) is proud to welcome Kristen Jones, DNP, FNP-C, to the Phillips County Medical Clinic provider team. Kristen is now accepting patients and looks forward to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families throughout Phillips County and the surrounding communities.

Kristen's journey in healthcare began with earning her LPN and RN degrees from North Central Kansas Technical College in Hays, Kansas, in 2017. She continued her education by completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing through the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2020 before earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 2025.

As a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for serving rural communities, Kristen is excited to begin this new chapter at Phillips County Health Systems.

"After completing a summer clinical rotation at PCHS, I knew this was where I wanted to build my career," said Kristen. "The strong sense of community, the commitment of the employees, and the relationships that exist throughout Phillips County made a lasting impression on me. I'm grateful for the opportunity to care for my neighbors and provide healthcare close to home."

Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Kristen worked in oncology at HaysMed, where she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of individualized, patient-centered care. Today, her professional interests include family practice and walk-in clinic medicine, where she enjoys caring for patients of all ages and helping meet the healthcare needs of her community.

Kristen's desire to serve others and give back to rural Kansas inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare. After several years as a registered nurse, she chose to continue her education to expand her ability to provide care and create a greater impact for her patients.

Family and faith continue to play an important role in Kristen's life. She and her husband, Jonathan, have been married for 18 years and are raising their two sons, Eldon and Benjamin. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, following football and baseball, and baking sourdough bread. The Jones family attends First Christian Church in Plainville, where their faith serves as a foundation for their daily lives.

Phillips County Health Systems remains committed to providing quality healthcare 365 days a year by ensuring patients have access to comprehensive, local healthcare services close to home.

Transparency in Coverage Rule

Phillips County Health Systems complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws. Phillips County Health Systems does not discriminate, exclude, or treat individuals differently on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

The Department of Health and Human Services’, Transparency in Coverage Rule, requires health plans to create a member-facing price comparison tool and post publicly available machine-readable files. These files must be updated monthly and include in-network negotiated payment rates and historical out-of-network charges for covered items and services, including prescription drugs.  The purpose of this Rule is to help you know the cost of your healthcare before receiving the care.

No one will be denied access to service due to the inability to pay. All applications for sliding fee schedules and discounts will be accepted. Eligibility is determined by family size and income.   Price Transparency
