Congratulations to Michaela Wells, Data Entry/Billing Coordinator for the Phillips County Medical Clinic, for earning the title of "Certified Professional Coder" (CPC) by satisfying all the requirements and successfully passing the examination given by the AAPC.
The CPC is the gold standard for medical coding and a 'must' anymore in the area of medical records and accurate documentation and billing. CPC's are considered experts when it comes to maintaining both profitability and compliance of both a Hospital and Medical Clinic's medical records. CPC's are also trained in coding provider diagnosis and service codes, which, in turn, reduces denials, assists with faster claim turnaround, as well as, accurate payments for services provided.
