Phillips County Health Systems (PCHS) is proud to spotlight the ongoing work of our Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), an energetic committee devoted to enhancing patient care and experience throughout our organization.

Founded in May 2016, PFAC brings together a group of community volunteers who serve as patient and family advisors. These individuals provide valuable insight and feedback based on their personal experiences as patients or family members of patients at PCHS. They play a key role in helping our Health Systems improve the quality, safety, and overall experience of the care we provide.

“Our Patient and Family Advisory Council brings real voices to the table—people who’ve lived it, felt it, and want to make the patient experience better for everyone,” said Jennifer Dodds, Chief Experience Officer at PCHS. “Their insight helps us build stronger connections, more compassionate care, and a community that truly feels heard.”

PFAC members serve on a volunteer basis, meeting monthly to provide input on both the positive aspects of care and areas needing improvement. They are committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and work closely with Jennifer Dodds, Chief Experience Officer and Kelly Moffatt, Community Health Worker to plan and implement changes that directly benefit the patients we serve.

As PFAC advisors, members:

  • Share their personal experiences with clinicians, staff, and patients.

  • Participate in discussion groups focused on enhancing patient safety and care quality.

  • Help plan and support meaningful improvements across the health system.

We are pleased to introduce the current members of our 2025 PFAC committee: Roger Weinman, Tad Felts, Brad Ifland, Tracy Sanson, Leo Manz, Rhonda Kellerman, Brenda Chanley, and Sylvia Swarts. Their ongoing contributions have a direct impact on our ability to serve patients and families with excellence, empathy, and transparency.

If you or a family member have received care at Phillips County Health Systems in the past five years and are interested in joining the PFAC, we would love to hear from you. Your voice can help shape the future of health care in our community.

For more information or to express interest in becoming an advisor, please contact the PCHS Chief Experience Officer, Jennifer Dodds, at (785) 540-4920.

Transparency in Coverage Rule

Phillips County Health Systems complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws. Phillips County Health Systems does not discriminate, exclude, or treat individuals differently on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

The Department of Health and Human Services’, Transparency in Coverage Rule, requires health plans to create a member-facing price comparison tool and post publicly available machine-readable files. These files must be updated monthly and include in-network negotiated payment rates and historical out-of-network charges for covered items and services, including prescription drugs.  The purpose of this Rule is to help you know the cost of your healthcare before receiving the care.

No one will be denied access to service due to the inability to pay. All applications for sliding fee schedules and discounts will be accepted. Eligibility is determined by family size and income.
