Phillips County Health Systems (PCHS) is proud to spotlight the ongoing work of our Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), an energetic committee devoted to enhancing patient care and experience throughout our organization.
Founded in May 2016, PFAC brings together a group of community volunteers who serve as patient and family advisors. These individuals provide valuable insight and feedback based on their personal experiences as patients or family members of patients at PCHS. They play a key role in helping our Health Systems improve the quality, safety, and overall experience of the care we provide.
“Our Patient and Family Advisory Council brings real voices to the table—people who’ve lived it, felt it, and want to make the patient experience better for everyone,” said Jennifer Dodds, Chief Experience Officer at PCHS. “Their insight helps us build stronger connections, more compassionate care, and a community that truly feels heard.”
PFAC members serve on a volunteer basis, meeting monthly to provide input on both the positive aspects of care and areas needing improvement. They are committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and work closely with Jennifer Dodds, Chief Experience Officer and Kelly Moffatt, Community Health Worker to plan and implement changes that directly benefit the patients we serve.
As PFAC advisors, members:
Share their personal experiences with clinicians, staff, and patients.
Participate in discussion groups focused on enhancing patient safety and care quality.
Help plan and support meaningful improvements across the health system.
We are pleased to introduce the current members of our 2025 PFAC committee: Roger Weinman, Tad Felts, Brad Ifland, Tracy Sanson, Leo Manz, Rhonda Kellerman, Brenda Chanley, and Sylvia Swarts. Their ongoing contributions have a direct impact on our ability to serve patients and families with excellence, empathy, and transparency.
If you or a family member have received care at Phillips County Health Systems in the past five years and are interested in joining the PFAC, we would love to hear from you. Your voice can help shape the future of health care in our community.
For more information or to express interest in becoming an advisor, please contact the PCHS Chief Experience Officer, Jennifer Dodds, at (785) 540-4920.

Reading about The PFAC Impact: Improving PCHS Patient Experience Together highlights how meaningful collaboration between patients, families, and healthcare staff can truly improve care and trust. It reminds me how important support systems are in every field, including education. As a PhD student, I often experience how guidance and shared experiences help people grow. Alongside my studies, I also work part-time with Last Minute Assignments where I assist students who often say Do My psychology Assignment when they feel overwhelmed with deadlines. Having struggled with similar academic pressures during my college days, I’m very conscious about my studies and passionate about helping other students manage their challenges. Nice post
It’s encouraging to see PFAC giving patients and families a real voice in improving care at PCHS. I remember during a hectic semester when I was stressed about appointments and deadlines, I even caught myself thinking, i need someone to take my exam, which showed me how overwhelming systems can feel without support. That’s why councils like this matter. When people feel heard and guided, their whole healthcare experience becomes more compassionate and less isolating. Your post makes me smile.
Living with ALS has been one of the hardest challenges of my life. The muscle weakness, fatigue, and gradual loss of mobility were heartbreaking. Conventional treatments offered little more than temporary comfort, and I was starting to lose hope. That’s when I discovered NaturePath Herbal Clinic.Skeptical but desperate for relief, I decided to try their herbal therapy. To my surprise, by the fourth month, I began noticing steady improvements less muscle twitching, better coordination, and renewed energy. It wasn’t an overnight miracle, but the progress felt real. For the first time in a long while, I felt a sense of control returning to my body.Today, I move more freely, sleep better, and most importantly I feel hopeful again. This journey with NaturePath…
