Phillips County Health Systems (PCHS) is delighted to announce Cindy Johnson as the newest addition to our leadership team, serving as the Medical Clinic Director. Cindy brings a wealth of healthcare leadership experience that will enhance our ongoing efforts to provide exceptional patient care to our community.
Joining PCHS in January 2024, Cindy immediately demonstrated her spirited dedication to rural health management and patient services. Her skills are highly tuned in to understanding clinic processes, patient registration, billing, and satisfaction. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that aligns with PCHS in our mission to provide “Patient-Centered Excellence” and a hands-on management skill set.
As a south-central Nebraska native, Cindy's roots in rural healthcare run deep. After graduating from Minden, NE, she began her career in healthcare and pursued a college education at Lincoln University of Nebraska, earning her degree in Business. She then later achieved a degree in Healthcare Administration from DMACC of Des Moines, Iowa. With over 25 years of leadership experience in rural healthcare systems, Cindy has overseen various healthcare facilities and held pivotal roles in critical care hospitals with rural health clinics.
Outside her professional endeavors, Cindy is a devoted wife and a proud mother of two daughters who are registered nurses and a son who is an independent business owner. She cherishes time with her seven grandchildren and indulges in hobbies such as baking homemade bread from freshly ground wheat that she grinds herself. She currently resides in Smith Center with her husband, Great Danes, and Yorkie.
