Clinic Nurse/ VFC Coordinator

Phillips County Health Systems is currently seeking a dynamic individual for our Full-time Clinic LPN or RN / VFC Coordinator at the Phillips County Medical Clinic.

  • Answers patient telephone calls, assessing needs and coordinating needs with providers

       accomplishing appropriate triage as well as returning calls promptly when unable to take calls

       directly.  Pertinent or treatment documentation is charted appropriately in the patient’s record.                    

  • Assists providers in the clinic by preparing rooms, and equipment, and during treatment and examination

       of scheduled as well as unscheduled patients monitoring patient flow.  Directs providers to

appropriate protocols of procedure consents, Medicare ABN’s and insurance concerns (i.e. Work Comp, etc.)         

  • Notifies providers when patients are ready for examination/treatment, following routine assessment

of  vital signs and medication list to assure patients are seen in a timely fashion as well as keeping

rooms full for a consistent flow of patients.                                                                           

The available position is for 32-36 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the occasional Friday morning. 

The position requires a current Kansas Registered Nurse license. Experience is beneficial. We will train the right candidate.

Transparency in Coverage Rule

The Department of Health and Human Services’, Transparency in Coverage Rule, requires health plans to create a member-facing price comparison tool and post publicly available machine-readable files. These files must be updated monthly and include in-network negotiated payment rates and historical out-of-network charges for covered items and services, including prescription drugs.  The purpose of this Rule is to help you know the cost of your healthcare before receiving the care. 

No one will be denied access to service due to the inability to pay. All applications for sliding fee schedules and discounts will be accepted. Eligibility is determined by family size and income.
