Our Rehabilitation Department has an exceptional team of physical therapists, occupational therapists and assistants and is seeking Occupational Therapists to join their team!

 

The Occupational Therapist is expected to carry out individualized occupational therapy programs including treatment planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize each patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.

 

Duties:

  • Interprets referrals, identifies precautions, contraindications, reviews charts, consults with physician as appropriate.

  • Performs basic evaluation with technical skill and accuracy; refers to established protocol for evaluation procedures; and observes precautions.

  • Administers evaluation in a setting appropriate to the patient's age, disability and cognitive status; modifies the evaluation as indicated.

  • Maintain inter-departmental relations at an optimal level.

  • Accurately interprets evaluation results to determine need for therapeutic intervention.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a BS degree in Occupational Therapy.

  • Possess a valid Occupational Therapy license issued in the state of Kansas or evidence that application has been applied for.

  • Knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles, practices and equipment; ability to establish effective relations with Physicians, patients, fellow workers, and all hospital personnel
