OPPORTUNITY / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key member of the leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer works with an exceptionally talented leadership team and a committed, dedicated Board of Trustees. Working collaboratively with an entrepreneurial CEO, Board of Trustees, and Leadership Team, this financial leader will have a strong background in financial models, revenue cycle, assisting with the creation of solid business plans and analyses while having the flexibility to adapt to the constant change in a competitive critical access hospital environment. Experience in healthcare, especially in a Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic health systems is preferred but not required. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years financial leadership experience ideally serving in a CFO capacity is desirable ( Experience in healthcare, especially in a Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic health systems is strongly preferred but not required for a candidate eager to learn the complexities of healthcare finance. Experience as a healthcare controller or other financial leadership position is also acceptable.)

Operational knowledge of physician practice management

Experience in Critical Access Hospital environments is highly preferred

Effective communicator, presenter, and mentor of others.

Strong project management experience desired

Experience with new services justifications

In-depth knowledge of third-party reimbursement including managed care contracting and Medicare cost reporting

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, master’s degree and/or CPA preferred

Good teamwork skills essential
